Sally Ziegler Profile

Welcome to the Weavers Shed Art Studio and Alpaca Farm. I have lived in Vermont for over 14 years with my husband Lon and my four daughters, Allison, Ashley, Amanda, and Sara. We own five alpacas which I use for fiber animals. They provide me with beautiful yarn that I use in some of my weaving. Aside from weaving, my other passion is teaching. I hold a BS in Art Education and I am certified K – 12. I have taught in the public system for 11 years, the last six of which were at Westford School. Most recently, I have taught preschoolers in the BFA summer Preschool Art Camp as well as students attending my studio classes.

My philosophy on art education for children is reflected in the large variety of art materials and experiences offered at my studio. A thorough curriculum should include interdisciplinary projects, multi-cultural studies, and art history, in addition to learning basic skills. It is my hope that my private classes will give the community an opportunity to participate in an array of art experiences.
